Creative Arts should be a subject that everyone enjoys - from the Picasso's of the present through to the Einsteins of our era! This subject allows for both educators and students to learn how to play and how to maintain that sense of play throughout their high school years. Creative Arts lends itself to make use of various art forms to make our students aware of and teach them about a plethora of other life-things. 

To prove how this can be done I developed and designed this Gr.7 Creative Arts Interdisciplinary Module (incorporating art, drama, dance & music) for teachers. The module consists of 8 lessons that span over four weeks that meet the learning objectives of the third term CAPS curriculum. This module is centered around the poem In the Quietude by South African poet Taonga Zulu and aims to teach learners mindfulness techniques that they can use and implement in and outside of the classroom!
